Marvin Sims is a ghost of a slow thinking man from 1930 who died in a barn on a farm near Greenfield. Confused, not knowing what to do, Marvin clung to the boards of the barn until 2008 when men came and tore down the structure. That threw Marvin into a panic and he went into a near catotonic state. Some of the wood was brought into the house and used to build a wall in the family room downstairs. Marvin came with the wood. He's thrust into a modern world with people who are behaving in ways he can't understand while this trauma starts him to remembering his own life and what happened to him in 1930.
